Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv to be inaugurated by HRD Minister on October 31

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will be inaugurating the Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv which is being organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the HRD Ministry. The event will be conducted at the India Gate Lawn No. 6 in the capital city from October 31 to November 3, 2019. The guest of honour for the occasion will be Minister of State for HRD Sanjay Sharmrao Dhotre.

The event is being conducted to showcase the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat and promote the communication and artistic skills of students through various competitions conducted. The programme will also provide a platform for the teachers to express their talent in the performing and visual arts. The Kendriya  Vidyalayas from 25 regions is paired with a state which is different from their own state. The students have to prepare projects and exhibits on the culture, custom, dressing, agriculture, industry, economy, climate and topography of the state allotted to them.

This will provide the students with an opportunity to understand the art and culture of the states they have been paired with and by this mutual respect towards different cultures will be inculcated in these students. The students will be competing at the different levels which include Vidyalaya or Cluster and Region. 

The event is a platform for the students to display their creativity, originality and artistic skills and by this overcome challenges, linguistic and geographical barriers thereby awakening a strong sense of national pride and widen their horizons with a better outlook towards cultures.

Close to 81 students will be participating in the event who will be escorted by 8 teachers which also include 2 accompanists. Others include 2 music competition teachers, 4 art competition teachers. Each region will have 95 participants and the total participants from 25 regions will sum up to 2375.
