NEET Re-Exam 2026 Air Force Fly Over 200 Sorties in Four Days to Transport Question Papers
NTA and the Union Ministry roped in the Indian Air Force to help transport the question papers to the centres. NEET UG re-exam is being held across designated exam centres today, June 21, 2026, under thorough surveillance.
The Indian Air Force was deployed by the Central Government and the National Testing Agency to ensure the NEET re-examination scheduled to be held today, June 21, 2026, is foolproof and secure. The IAF had been entrusted with the security of the question papers and their safe delivery to centres across the country.
According to media reports, the Indian Air Force has flown more than 200 sorties in the last four days to deliver the NEET UG 2026 question papers to the exam centres across the country. Massive security mission to transport the re-NEET exam papers to safe locations began on June 13, 2026 ans was completed by June 17, 2026. The question papers were collected from two main distribution centres using the Indian Air Force transport aircraft and helicopters. After the collection from these hubs, the papers were then safely delivered to more than 20 selected and strategically important locations across the country. The exact route and details of the operation remained under wraps. This has been recorded as the most extensive security exercise conducted for a national-level entrance examination in recent years. The air force resources have been utilised to speed up the delivery and make the security system impenetrable.
Telegram Banned Ahead of NEET UG Re-Exam
NTA tightened its noose by announcing a partial ban on the Telegram App. to prevent the spread of false paper leak claims and misleading content on social media during and immediately after the exams. Access to Telegram has been restricted in India until June 22, 2026. Telegram was reported as the app used by scammers in the last examination to circulate the exam papers among students.
Claims have, however, been made regarding a leak of the re-exam papers for June 21. NTA has refuted the claims, stating that there is no basis of evidence for these viral claims and that no irregularities related to the re-test have been confirmed.
NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Being Held Today
The NEET Re-Examination 2026 is being held across various centres today, June 21, 2026. The exam will be conducted as per the revised timings from 2 PM to 5:15 PM. As per the NTA, the exams are being conducted at 5,440 centres in 551 cities in India and 14 centres abroad. The examination will be held in more than 95,000 examination rooms, each equipped with CCTV. A total of 1,38,560 CCTV cameras have been installed, with feeds monitored virtually at the National, State and Ministry levels. To secure the examination against electronic malpractice, 51,311 jammers have been deployed. Each of the more than 95,000 examination rooms will have two invigilators, and every centre is staffed with more than ten additional examination functionaries.
