UP: 1 Lakh Govt School Students Get Study Tables Under ‘Shiksha Ki Udaan’ Campaign

Uttar Pradesh’s Devipatan division has completed the distribution of one lakh study tables to government school students under the ‘Shiksha Ki Udaan’ campaign. The initiative aims to encourage disciplined study habits and provide students, particularly those from rural backgrounds, with a dedicated space to study at home.
The target was achieved across Bahraich, Gonda, Balrampur and Shravasti districts, according to Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal.
One Lakh Students Receive Study Tables
The campaign was designed to provide study tables to meritorious students of government schools, helping them create a personal study space outside the classroom. According to the division, the highest number of tables were distributed in Bahraich, where 34,260 students received tables. Gonda followed with 27,650, while 26,984 tables were distributed in Balrampur and 11,106 in Shravasti.
The initiative particularly focuses on children from rural backgrounds, where students may not always have access to a dedicated study area at home.

Students Share How Tables Changed Study Routine
Several students expressed their experiences after receiving the study tables through handwritten letters, drawings and posters. Class 6 student Saba said that studying at home had earlier been inconvenient, but having a study table had made it easier for her to study.
Similarly, Class 7 student Nuzhat Fatima said the table had helped create a better environment for studying and improved her concentration. She also said she uses it to complete homework and revise lessons. Students also created posters and letters expressing their appreciation, with some incorporating messages such as ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’.
Focus On Academic Excellence
According to Nagpal, the ‘Shiksha Ki Udaan’ campaign aims to develop a culture of regular and focused study at home while encouraging academic performance among government school students. The initiative is intended to provide students with a dedicated place for studying and support their academic development beyond classroom hours. The campaign has now achieved its target of distributing one lakh study tables across the four districts of the Devipatan division.
