Chennai has topped in CBSE class XII examinations 2014 with three of its schools scoring the highest average aggregate. Gurgaon’s Heritage School secured fourth position. Results revealed that there are 8 schools in India, whose average aggregate is 90 percent and above. State-wise too, Tamil Nadu is running on top with the highest average aggregate of 80.7 percent if we compare the data state-wise. Nevertheless, good performance is not constrained only to schools in metros. This is stated as the two schools which have 100 percent students scoring 80 percent & above are from Jalgaon in Maharashtra and Satna in Madhya Pradesh.
Three schools with the highest countrywide average aggregate are:
• DAV Senior Secondary, Mogappair
• DAV Girls Senior Secondary, Lloyds Road
• DAV Boys Senior Secondary, Lloyds Road
All schools are from Chennai that scored 91 percent, 90.7 percent and 90.6 percent respectively. In all, there are 8 schools among the private & Kendriya Vidyalayas allied to Central Board of Secondary Education which have an average aggregate of 90 percent score and above. Altogether, 1.59 lakh students scored 80 percent and above, 51,000 students secured 90 percent & above in CBSE.
