Punjab National Bank on 20 July 2012 declared shortlisted candidates list for Interview for recruitment of 775 Probationary Officers. A total of 2607 were shortlisted for the interview which will be conducted from 30 July 2012 till 1st week of August. The candidates were selected on the basis of marks obtained in Common Written Examination (CWE) and Interview held.

The bank had already declared final list of 317 candidates provisionally for the position of PO on 29 June 2012. It appears that, not many these selected candidates had reported from the first list thereby forcing the bank to come out with second list of shortlisted candidates.
PNB had advertised for recruitment of 775 Management Trainees for which the interviews were conducted from 18 June- 22 June 2012. Apparently, it is expected that since the interviews were conducted in June 2012 (tentative period was April/ May 2012), some candidates on their list must have joined other banks.
