The Gramin Bharat Bandh 2024 will be on February 16, 2024, from 6.00 AM to 4.00 PM. The farmers will be part of a huge chakka jam from 12.00 PM to 4.00 PM. Most state and national highways will remain shut for 4 hours.
"On this day, villages will remain closed for all agricultural activities and MNREGA and rural works. No farmer, agricultural worker or rural worker will work that day," Dr Darshan Pal, member of SKM National Coordination Committee told IE.
Will Schools Remain Closed on Bharat Bandh 2024?
As per the latest updates, states have not announced the closure of schools. CBSE, ICSE, and other boards have even started their annual examinations. Thus, there are fewer chances of them announcing the school closure amid boards. In case of any query or confusion, it is best to consult with the school authorities.

The CBSE Exams begin today, February 15, 2024, with the Painting, Gurung, Rai, Tamang, and Sherpa exams for the class 10 students and Entrepreneurship, Kokborok, Capital Market Operation, and Physical Activity Trainer exams for the class 12 students.
Because of the farmers’ protest in Delhi and the possible delay that the traffic will cause, the authorities have advised the students to use metro services as a mode of transportation.
Bharat Bandh Today: Police Issue An Advisory in Noida
The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police has demanded that section 144 be implemented in response to the Bharat Bandh and that an outlaw on unapproved public gatherings be implemented throughout the district. To minimize inconvenience, passengers heading to and from Delhi have been advised to use the metro rail service "as far as possible".
Bharat Bandh 2024: Haryana Internet Services Are Ceased
According to a statement from the Haryana government, internet services would be suspended in the state until Saturday, February 17, 2024, in response to the statewide farmer's protest.
