IIT Guwahati Placements 2021: As per the recent updates, the Indian Institue of Technology(IIT) Guwahati started its placement process for the academic year 2021-22. On the first session of day 1 of the final placement season at IIT Guwahati’s campus placements, the 2021-22 batch students have received more than 200 offers. About 38 companies participated in the IIT Guwahati placement drive for phase 1, which is expected to continue till 15th December.
The placements process is being conducted in virtual mode for the second consecutive year. The placement process started at 12 am. The final session of day one, the third, began at 6 pm and is scheduled to conclude by midnight.
IIT Guwahati Placements 2021 Salary
It should be noted that recruiters have made several domestic offers that are more than Rs 1.1 crore. It should be noted that all the offers mentioned here have been made as of 1st December till 4 pm. The institute also received an international offer at the end of sessions 1,2 that was of Rs 2 crores. IIT Guwahati students have also received 179 pre-placement offers.
IIT Guwahati Placements 2021 Top Recruiters and Job Roles
The top companies that participated in the placement rounds are Uber, JP Morgan Chase, Qualcomm, Schlumberger, Graviton, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Texas Instrument, Bajaj, Goldman Sachs among others.
The job offers were made in the sectors across IT/ Software Development Engineer, Data Science, Member Technical Staff, Quant, Core Engineer, Algorithmic Trader, Hardware, Analyst, Machine Learning, Business Analyst, Product Designer, Graphic Designer etc.
Students Registered for IIT Guwahati Placements 2021
A total of 1160 students have registered for placements in the 2021-22 Academic Year, across different streams of study. The total number of companies registered for Phase I of Placements is around 200. They will be recruiting for a total of around 250 profiles. As many as 10 start-ups have registered for recruitment in the ongoing academic year 2021-22 along with 03 Public Sector Undertakings.
