Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2026 Answer Key for Session 2 has been released on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Pursuant to the same, National Testing Agency, NTA has released an important notice, asking students who appeared for the April 5 session not to raise objections. This is in regards the Chemistry paper and the alleged discrepancies in the question paper and the answer key.

Taking to its official twitter handle, NTA has informed that it has taken into consideration the discrepancies in the JEE Chemistry paper for the Session 2 conducted on April 5 (afternoon shift). After the social media and other media reports, NTA is now looking into the concerns raised.

Meanwhile, the NTA has asked students not to pay for the challenges for the said paper while NTA is looking into the same. Regretting the inconvenience caused, the agency has urged students to be patient, and it will be releasing a clarification and official notice soon.

JEE Main 2026 Answer Key: April 5 Session 2 Chemistry Paper Concerns

Experts took to social media highlighting that there were as many as 18 wrong answers in the Chemistry paper of JEE Main Session 2 April 5 examinations – afternoon shift. Students took to social media raising concerns over the number of questions.

Notably, raising objections for 18 questions in one paper alone will be quite expensive. This would translate to a fees of ₹3600 alone for Chemistry paper.

NTA has now confirmed that it is looking into the matter and will release a revised version and clarification on what students need to do. Once the same is released, NTA will give appropriate time for all students to raise objections, if needed.

The other students, however, are advised to check the answer key and raise objections as per schedule.

JEE Main 2026 response sheet and answer key have been released, and the challenge window is now open. Once the objections are received, NTA will then process the same and release a final answer key as well as the JEE Main 2026 Result. Ranks for students will also be released.
