Gujarat University to Restart its Yoga Centre

Sep 20, 2013 06:30 IST

With the productive collaboration of Lakulish Yoga University, the Gujarat University is going to restart its yoga centre, which was earlier put on close due to lack of students. The vice-chancellors of both the universities met in this regard and decided to start short-term courses of three and six months of duration in Yoga.
To enliven the defunct Yoga Centre, the GU has allocated building and infrastructure for the yoga courses with the help of the partner university. The courses will be open for the current GU students as well as for those interested in pursuing short courses in yoga. The VC of GU further revealed that there could be added a relevant course of 20 credits for the GU students under the new choice-based credit system.
