Himachal Pradesh Teacher Recruitment 2026: 3468 Vacancies Announced for CBSE Government Schools
The Himachal Pradesh State Education Department has announced around 3468 vacancies for the CBSE-affiliated government schools in the state. The recruitment drive will include 2668 regular posts for multiple categories, and 800 temporary teacher posts for Mathematics and English subjects.
Himachal Pradesh Teacher Recruitment 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Government has announced the recruitment of teachers for 3468 posts in CBSE-affiliated government schools, as per the media reports. In a review meeting of the Education Department, the Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh stated that the recruitment will include a demand for 2668 regular posts in 19 categories, which were forwarded to the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog, Hamirpur. It will also include 800 temporary teachers for English and Mathematics subjects. This recruitment drive will aim to strengthen the teaching workforce in the newly affiliated CBSE schools and will also improve the quality of education imparted.

The media sources also state that the recruitment process for the teachers' posts for subjects like Physical Education, Music, Sanskrit, Science, Commerce, Political Science, Economics, Hindi, History, Sociology, Geography, Psychology, Computer Science, Fine Arts and Public Administration is also expected to be completed soon.

The Himachal Pradesh Teacher Recruitment 2026 follows after the 146 schools have already received the CBSE Affiliation out of 158 government schools for which the approval was given. To improve the academic education in these government schools, the state education ministry has already hired around 400 temporary teachers for the English subject and around 400 teachers for the Mathematics subject. Out of the total 400 English teachers and 400 Mathematics teachers, 292 english teachers and 284 Mathematics teachers have already started their roles at the respective allotted Schools.
