Research Fellowship in Climate Change

For Research Fellowship for doing research in climate change, applications can be sent to Germany's International Max Planck Research School on Earth System Modeling (IMPRS-ESM). Financial support for its full duration of three years is awarded under this.

Eligibility

For Research Program, candidates should be Masters' degree holder in Physics / Geophysical Sciences / (Meteorology and Oceanography included)/ chemistry / Ecology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Engineering / Economics / Political Science. Candidate should have a good grasp of the English or German language.

Application

Online application facility for research program is available. The institute rejects all applications, hard copies and paper copies sent through post or fax. Along with application, all documents have to be emailed in electronic format (scanned copy of documents) only. Online registration is required before applying.

Registration Process

Carefully read all the information and questionnaires before getting yourself registered online. Answers to most questions should be small and crisp. Preparation of lengthy questions should be done offline. Write it down on a plain piece of paper. Keep in mind that once you are exited from the questionnaires, your entry goes waste i.e. rejected. After successful registration, candidates will receive a mail mentioning registration number along application form.

 • Title page of the Thesis, summary of the thesis- giving details of subject matter, page list, subject matter list etc.
 • Copy of the M.Sc. certificate.
 • Copy of all the courses/ lectures taken in M.Sc.
 • Copy of the B.Sc. certificate.
 • Copy of all the courses/ lectures taken in B.Sc.
 • Officially approved reference letter from a university professor know to you.
 • A letter mentioning inspiration and reasons for doing PhD or research, reason for seeking admission in IMPRI-ESM, and the topic of research.
 • Proof of knowledge of English language.
 • Published articles, job references, certificates of any kind of workshops or awards etc.
 • All documents should be translated into English or German language.
