SSC GD Shift Timing 2026: Check Exam Schedule, Reporting Time & Duration

The Staff Selection Commission is all set to conduct the SSC GD 2026 exam from 27 April to 30 May at various designated centres spread across the country. Prospective candidates who are planning to appear for the SSC GD Constable exam must be aware of the exam timings, duration and marking scheme.

As per the schedule, the SSC GD exam will be conducted online in four shifts: Shift 1 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Shift 2 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM, Shift 3 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, and Shift 4 from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM. SSC GD Shift Timings 2026

SSC GD is a national-level exam which is being conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the post of General Duty Constable in various central armed police forces. It is considered one of the most competitive recruitment exams, as lakhs of candidates appear for it annually. 

Registered candidates must appear for the SSC GD 2026 exam, scheduled to be held from 27 April to 30 May. Candidates who score marks equal to or above the SSC GD cut-off will qualify for the next stages of the selection process, namely the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

SSC GD Reporting Time 2026

Aspirants must reach 2 hours prior to their allotted shift time. It is necessary to complete the frisking and verification procedure.

SSC GD Exam Duration

The duration of SSC GD Constable exam is 1 hour. Candidates need to attempt 80 objective type questions within the allotted time to clear the exam.
