TNPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2024: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released notification for the Combined Civil Services Examination - Group 2 and Group 2 A Services on its official website. A total of 2327 vacancies are to be filled in different departments across the state including Assistant Inspector, Deputy Commercial Tax Officer, Probation Officer, Special Assistant, Assistant Section Officer, Forester and others.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these posts on or before July 19, 2024 at https://www.tnpsc.gov.in.
Out of total 2327 vacancies, 1820 are for Group 2 A whereas 507 are for Group 2. Selection for these posts will be done based on the prelims/mains exam followed by interview. The prelims exam will be conducted on September 19, 2024 across the state.

TNPSC Group 2 Service 2024 Prelims Exam Overview
Selection for TNPSC Group 2 Services will be done on the basis of the Combined Civil Services Prelims Examination - II (Group II and IIA Services) followed by Main and finally Interview round. Commission will be conducting the prelims exam on September 19, 2024 across the state. Preliminary Examination will be held in objective type which is just screening test type and the marks obtained in the preliminary examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

Examination Fee TNPSC Group 2 Posts
Candidates will have to pay the preliminary examination fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment, unless exemption of fee is claimed. Candidates belonging to special categories can avail of exemption from paying examination fees as per eligibility criteria.
What is the TNPSC Group 2 Posts Eligibility and Age Limit?

Educational Qualification:
Probation Officer: A degree in Arts or Science
Other things being equal preference shall be given to candidates who possess a degree in Sociology or Psychology.
Other things being equal preference shall be given to those who have practical experience in having done social welfare work or who possess a Diploma in Social Service including experience in social and moral hygiene and aftercare work.
Junior Employment Officer: Must possess a degree in Arts, Science or Commerce

Selection will be done on the basis of the Combined Civil Services Examination - II (Group II and IIA Services) comprises of two successive stages-
Common Preliminary Examination
Separate Main examination for Group II and Group IIA Services, except for the post of Forester in the Forest Department and TAFCORN. You are advised to check the notification link for details in this regard.
Prelims
The Preliminary Examination will be conducted as a screening test only and the marks obtained in the
