CBSE Board Exam 2020: As per the latest update, CBSE Board has reopened the application correction window for Class 10 Board Exams. Going by the media reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened a correction window for the CBSE Board Exam 2020 List of Candidates - LOCs. The decision to reopen the application correction window was notified by the CBSE board to all the affiliated schools through a formal notice. The notice stated that all CBSE affiliated schools can take advantage of this one time option to update the List of Candidates and Change the Options (subjects) already filled earlier.
List of Changes Allowed During Correction Window
The notice issued to CBSE schools also specifies the fields or the changes that schools are allowed to make during this window. As part of this, the Board has allowed Schools to allow change in the level of Mathematics chosen by students for the CBSE 10th Board Exam 2020. The fields in which changes are allowed by CBSE during the current correction window are:
- For Class 10 students: Correction in Choice between Mathematics Standard (041 subject code) and Mathematics Basic (241 subject code)
- For Class 10 students: Correction in Choice between Hindi A (002), Hindi B (085) as well as Urdu A(003) and Urdu B (303)
- For Class 12 students: Changes to following subject codes are allowed: Hindi Core (302), Hindi Elective (002), English Core (301), English Elective (001), Sanskrit Core (322), Sanskrit Elective (022), Urdu Core (303), Urdu Elective (003), etc.
- For both Class 10 & 12 students: Corrections allowed in the name of candidates (PS: Complete name change as well as change in father’s name, date of birth, etc. are not permitted. Only corrections in the spellings are permitted.)
Change of Mathematics Subject Allowed
During this correction window, CBSE has given another opportunity for Class 10 students who would be appearing for the board exams to opt for change of subjects between Basic Mathematics and Standard Mathematics for the upcoming Board exams. Students and parents, who are interested in opting to change the Mathematics subjects selected by them earlier, can contact their respective schools for the same at the earliest.

Last Change to Change Level of Mathematics
The notice clearly mentions that this is the last correction window being offered by the CBSE Board. From here onwards, the CBSE Board will not allow any further changes in the CBSE 10th Application Form 2019, including change the level of Mathematics opted by the students. Therefore, students who want to change the level of Mathematics exam can do so during the ongoing correction window. The last date to complete changes to CBSE 10th Board Exam 2020 List of Candidates is 11th November 2019.
