CLAT 2020 Exam Date Announced: The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the CLAT 2020 exam date for the law entrance exam. According to the notification released today, CLAT 2020 exam will be held on 22nd August 2020. CLAT 2020 Exam Date Announced: Finally, the Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the CLAT 2020 exam date for the law entrance exam. According to the notification released today, CLAT 2020 exam will be held on 22nd August 2020. Along with announcing the examination dates for Common Law Admission Test 2020 i.e. CLAT 2020, the consortium also announced that the application process for CLAT 2020 will continue until 10th July 2020. Candidates or Law Aspirants who are yet to register for CLAT 2020 exam are advised to complete the application process on or before this deadline. Law Entrance Exam Postponed Thrice due to Pandemic

As per the original schedule, CLAT 2020 law entrance exam was to be held on 10th May 2020, which was postponed to 24th May first and then to 21st June,  due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown. However, in the executive council meeting held today, the Consortium has decided that assessed the feasibility of conducting the Common Law Admission Test, 2020 (the “CLAT 2020”) as an online test.

Withdrawal of Application Allowed Until 10th July 2020

Along with extending the application timeline until 10th of July 2020 in the wake of postponement of the test, the consortium also allowed already registered candidates to withdraw their candidature until the same date. When a candidate opts to cancel their candidates for the entrance exam, their application fee shall be refunded after a deduction of INR 400 for SC/ST candidates and INR 500 for all other candidates towards processing charges. Refunds will be made by July 18, 2020.
