IITs Leading In Excellence And Innovation In Data Science Education As Per Imarticus Learning's Report 2023

Data Science Education Report 2023: Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have secured the top three positions among 100 colleges across the country in the Bachelor's of Data Science Degree category. The findings were published by Imarticus Learning, a pioneer in the Indian edtech sector in their Data Science Education Report 2023 in collaboration with Analytics Insight.

IIM Calcutta in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur and ISI Kolkatta secure the top spot among 151 institutes in the Master's in Data Science category. The findings provide rankings for institutions offering the above-mentioned courses and also dive into the changing trends in data science and analysis education. The report published highlights the dynamic nature of the Data Science sector which makes it a highly sought-after programme.

IITs Offering Data Science Courses

According to the findings, IITs lead the way for Bachelors of Data Science Programme. IIT Hyderabad has secured the top spot followed by IIT Delhi and IIT Guwahati in the second and third place as best educational institutions offering the program.

For the Masters in Data Science programme, IIM Calcutta in collaboration with IIT Kharagour and ISI Kolkatta has secured the top spot followed by IIT Hyderabad, and IISC Bangalore in second and third spot.

The prominence of Data Science as an educational field is growing in India. • Regional distribution for Ph.D. programmes in Data Science is as follows - 30% in the South Zone, 43% in the West Zone, 17% in the East Zone, and 9% in the North Zone
