NEET UG 2026 Account Hacking Scam Foiled; Bihar Student Arrested by Gujarat Police and NTA

A big cyber crime plan to cheat UG 2026 students has been stopped by the Cyber Crime Branch of Ahmedabad City Police. They worked with the National Testing Agency (NTA) to do this. A 19-year-old student from Bihar was caught. He tried to take money meant for UG 2026 students and put it into his own bank accounts. The student was trying to get fee refund amounts, from candidates accounts.
The police in Ahmedabad said that they caught the student Navinkumar Shankar Prasad Yadav from Bihar who's 19 years old. After they looked into the matter carefully. The police found out that Navinkumar Shankar Prasad Yadav made an account using someone else's information and used it to get into the NEET UG 2026 website without permission.
He tried to change the bank account details of UG 2026 students so that he could get the money that was supposed to be refunded to them. The NEET UG 2026 candidates are safe now because the police stopped the cyber fraud attempt. The National Testing Agency and the police are working together to make sure that the UG 2026 exam is safe from cyber crimes.
Police reported that the accused targeted 350 accounts, successfully accessing approximately 150 due to weak or guessable passwords. He used the credentials to log into the portal and look for candidates eligible for fee refunds. It is alleged that the accused changed the registered bank details of the students to his own, to divert their refunds. Authorities said the planned operation used stolen credentials to manipulate information for financial gain and highlighted the huge cybersecurity risks posed by poor password practices.
