NEET UG 2026 BREAKING: Re-NEET Exam Candidates to Get 15 Minute Extra, Exams on June 21

NEET UG 2026: As per the official notice Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made the announcement in a bid to reduce the anxiety of candidates and reduce the chances of any mistakes being committed. Students sitting for the NEET UG 2026 Re-exam, which has been scheduled for 21st June 2026, will have an extra 15 minutes for completing their exam. This means that the exam, which was initially scheduled for 3 hours, will last for 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Candidate-Friendly Measures for NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam

• Increased Examination Window Period: The overall time allotted for the examination process has now been increased to 195 minutes, which will be carried out in a period between 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM on June 21, 2026.

• Core Examination Time Buffer: Such additional time buffer would ensure that the candidates would have enough time even if some mandatory formalities like signature on attendance forms and other invigilator tasks occur.

• Double Amount of Rough-Space Sheets: For the better ease of the students to solve questions, especially concerning physics and chemistry related subjects, rough-sheets have now been provided in doubled amount, i.e., four rough-sheets.

• Booklet Format Modification: As per students' suggestion about their convenience, especially for those students who write using their left hand, now rough-sheets cannot always be at the very end of the question paper booklet.

• Rough-Sheets Layout Adjustment: Now, the four rough-sheets have been adjusted strategically such that the first two pages are kept at the end whereas the remaining two pages are placed immediately right after the starting instruction page of the test booklet.

• Updated for All Languages: Such an adjustment in the format of the question booklet has been adopted universally across all languages, English or regional.
