Aspiring candidates are planning to appear for Bank Probationary Officers Exam (Bank PO exam) need to fulfil following eligibility criteria:

    Academic Qualifications

    • General Category candidates should have cleared Class 12 Exam with minimum 60% marks and Graduation / Post graduation with minimum 55% marks
    • Reserved Category candidates should have cleared Class 12 Exam with minimum 55% marks and Graduation / Post graduation with minimum 50% marks
    • Candidates appearing for Bank Probationary Officer Exam need to have basic computer literacy with certificate from reputed institute or Computer as a subject at Class 12 level.
    • Candidates aspiring to appear for Bank PO exams should fall within age group of 21 to 30 years.
    • Age limit has been relaxed for reserved category candidates as follows

    Age Limit

    • For OBC candidates – Age limit relaxation of 3 years
    • For SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates – Age limit relaxation of 5 years
    • For VH/OH candidates – Age limit relaxation of 10 years

    Exam Pattern

    Banking Probationary Officer Examination conducted by the IBPS is a two state test. The first stage is a Preliminary Examination which is an objective style test; followed by Main Exam that is descriptive in nature. The pattern mentioned below is announced for IBPS PO examination, candidates are advised to confirm the same as per their respective Bank PO exam notification.

    Bank PO Main Exam

    The Bank PO Main Exam is a descriptive test through which the candidates are selected for Personal Interview Round. The Bank PO Main Exam Test pattern is given below:

    P.S: Except for question of English Language, all the other questions in the above test will be given in bilingual format (Hindi & English)

    Personal Interview

    Candidates shortlisted after the main examination will have to appear for a personal interview round for final selection. The Personal Interview round is aimed at testing the interpersonal skills and soft skills of the candidate. Questions range from personal and academic background as well as information and analytical questions related to banking and financial sector.
