Eligibility Criteria for Chief Librarian and other Posts

Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:

Chief Librarian Posts: A master’s degree in Library Science/Informatics Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record. At least 13 years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years’ experience as a College Librarian.
Deputy Librarian: A master’s degree in Library Science/Informatics Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record. Five years’ experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian. Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of Library.
Assistant Librarian: A master’s degree in Library Science/Informatics Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks and consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of Library. Should have Valid National Level Test score or PhD in concerned area.

Age Limit for Chief Librarian and other Posts: 55 Years
