The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 examination for Paper 1 (B. Tech) is finally over and students are now waiting for the official answer key by NTA. The provisonal answer key will be provided soon in next one to two weeks. 

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Registration will begin by Feb 2025 end of March starting.

• Overall Difficulty: Moderate
• Physics: Easiest section with mostly theoretical questions. Key topics included Mechanics, Waves, and Thermodynamics. No questions from EMI and AC.
• Chemistry: Rated easy to moderate, with Inorganic and Physical Chemistry dominating. Most questions were NCERT-based.
• Mathematics: Most challenging section due to lengthy calculations. Key topics included 3D Geometry, Vectors, and Conic Sections.

• Physics: The Physics section was rated moderate to difficult, with some tricky questions. The paper included both theory-based and application-based questions.
• Chemistry: This section had a balanced mix of inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. The overall difficulty was moderate, making it easier than Physics but slightly tougher than Mathematics.
• Mathematics: Questions were asked from topics like Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, and Trigonometry. While the overall difficulty was moderate, some problems were lengthy, making the section time-consuming.

The morning shift on January 29 was not much different from previous other shifts. The questions were lengthy in math but doable using proper concepts. Physics was comparatively easy. The chemistry portion was also easy and direct.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the official answer key for the JEE Main 2025 soon after the completion of all shifts. The expected date for the answer key will fall in the second week of February 2025.

Based on the student feedback, the overall difficulty level of JEE Main 2025 question papers is in the range of moderate to difficult. The normalisation process of NTA is going to increase the overall percentile based on marks achieved in each section. This points towards the high cutoff for JEE Advanced. 

• Unlike previous two shifts, Physics portion was easy. No questions were asked from current and electricity.
• 7-8 questions from chemistry were calculation based.
• The marks cutoff is expected to reach 200.

• Fewer questions from Organic and Physical Chemistry
• Most questions were NCERT-based, making it straightforward

• Mostly application-based questions, few theoretical ones
• Some questions reached JEE Advanced difficulty level
• Well-represented topics: Mechanics, Waves, Thermodynamics
• Strong presence of Electrostatics, Optics, and Mechanics
• Fewer questions from Modern Physics, EMI, and Magnetism
• Alternating Currents (AC) was completely absent

• Overall Difficulty: Moderate to difficult
• Easiest Section: Chemistry (time-saver)
• Most Difficult Section: Mathematics (lengthy calculations)
• Physics Difficulty: Moderate to difficult

As per students' feedback, the exam wasn't very different from previous shifts. The JEE Main 2025 paper for Day 4 evening shift was moderate to difficult, with mathematics on the difficult side due to lengthy calculations.

The second or evening shift of JEE Main 2025 will be conducted from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. These timings are same for all days except for January 30, 2025. Last day is for Paper 2A & 2B applicants and their evening shift will be conducted from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

NTA has kept JEE Main timings same for morning and eveing shift. The morning shift is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Whereas, evening timings are from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

JEE Main 2025 question paper comprise 75 questions from Physics, Maths and Chemistry. There were 60 MCQs and 15 numerical value type questions. The candidates who were supposed to appear at Advanced Computer Technology 21/03/44/03, behind Choti Devkali Mandir, Tulsi Nagar Ayodhya, Faizabad 224723 for JEE (Main) 2025 Session 1 will now have to appear at SRS Digital Institute MIG-35 Kaushalpuri Colony Phase-2 Ayodhya on 28, 29 and 30 January 2025.

NTA has given a new chance for 114 applicants to reappear for the JEE Main 2025 exam. The exam will be conducted today and tomorrow for candidates who had their Day 1 exam at the exam centre (TC code- 40086), No. 3, Belmar Estate, Bengaluru. The exam rescheduled because of an unavoidable technical glitch.
