    SSC MTS exam is one of the most awaited exams for the candidates, who are seeking to get employed in government offices and departments. This exam offers posts like office assistant, gardener, driver, cleaner, chowkidar, etc. These posts are most sought among the rural candidates, who have qualified high school examination. There are basically four subjects as other SSC exams do have. However, the level of difficulty for the questions is very easy.     Explanation:-

    = 75 x 125 + 16 – 14 / 13;
    Change the mathematical signs as per the question stating and apply BODMAS rule-
    = 75 + 125 / 16 * 14 – 13;
    = 62 +  109.375
    = 171.375

    2. If ‘B’ means ‘minus’, ‘D’ means ‘division’, ‘C’ means ‘multiplication’, and ‘A‘ means ‘addition’. What will be the value of 25 A 55 D 60 C 50 B 15?
    a. 25.15
    b. 45.78
    c. 56.87
    d. 53.67

    Explanation:
    -
    = 25 A 55 D 60 C 50 B 15
    Change the mathematical signs as the question states and apply BODMAS rule-
    = 12 + 75 / 90 x 80 - 25
    = 12 – 25 + 66.67
    = 53.67

    3. If a – b means a * b, a/b means a + b, a*b means a - b, then 100 – 10 x 100 / 100 + 10 x 10 =?
    a. 901
    b. 908
    c. 910
    d. 990
    Ans.:-d.
    Explanation:-
    In the above conditions, it is obvious ------a + b = a / b;
    = 100 – 10 x 100 / 100 + 10 x 10
    Use the above conditions in the above equation and apply BODMAS rule-
    = 100 * 10 – 100 + 100 / 10 – 10;
    =  1000 – 100 + 10 - 10
    = 990.

    4. Which one of the following four interchanges in signs and numbers would make the given equation correct?
                 9 / 15 x 12 = 20

    a. / and  x, 15 and 12
    b. / and  x, 15 and 9
    c. / and x, 12 and 9
    d. None of these

    Explanation:- 
    Considering each case separately-
    a) Making the interchanges given in (a.), we get 9 x 12 / 15 = 20; 7.2 = 20, which is false.
    b) Making the interchanges given in (b.), we get 15 x 9 / 12 = 20; 11.25 = 20, which is false.
    c) Making the interchanges given in (c.), we get 12 x 15 / 9 = 20; 20 = 20, which is false.
    Hence, Option (c.) is the correct answer.

    5. If signs ‘+’ and ‘/’ and numbers 1 and 5 are used interchangeably, then which of the following equation would be correct?
    a. 1 + 5 / 4 =21
    b. 1 + 5 / 7 =12
    c. 1 / 5 + 7 = 3
    d. 5 + 1 / 7 = 4

    6. Correct the following question by interchanging the two signs-
    16 – 21 / 7 x 6 + 3 = 31

    Applying each option in the given number equation-
    Option (a.):
    = 16 – 21 / 7 x 6 + 3;
    = 16 x 21 /7 -6 + 3;

    =  16 – 21 /7 + 6 x 3;
    = 16 – 3 + 18 = 31, which is true.

     Explanation:-
    replace the alphabets with the given conditions and apply BODMAS rule-
    = 130 T 12 Q 20 J 6 K 15
    = 130 - 12 + 20 x 6 / 15
    = 112+ 120 / 15
    = 112 + 8 = 220

    8. If A + B = C + D, B + D = 2A, D + E > A + B, C + D > A + E, then
    a. A >  B > D > E > C
    b. A > D > B > E > C
    c. D > A > B > E > C
    d. D > B > E > A >C

    Explanation:-

    A + B = C + D ………………….(i)
    B + D = 2A  ……………………….(ii)
    D + E > A + B   ………………….(iii)

    Consider eq. (i) and (iii);
    D + E > C + D; => E > C;
    Consider eq. (i) and (iv);
    A + B > A + E;  => B > E;
    Consider eq. (iii) and B >E ;
    D + E > A + B and B > E;  => D + E > A + E;  => D > A;  
    Now, B + D =2A, D >A  => D > A > B;
    Now, considering all the results, we get  D > A > B > E > C.

    10. If `+’ means `x’, `-‘ means `÷’, `x’ means `-‘and `÷’ means `+’, then what will be the value of `12 ÷ 48 – 8 x 4 + 4 = ?

    Explanation:-

    = 12 ÷ 48 – 8 x 4 + 4;
    Replace the sign as per the question and apply BODMAS rule-
    = 12 + 48 / 8 – 4 x 4;
    = 12 + 6 -16;
    = 2.
