According to a report by Brand Finance Insurance 100 2024, insurance giant Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has emerged as the strongest insurance brand globally. The report said LIC's brand value remains stable at US$9.8 billion, with a Brand Strength Index score of 88.3 and an associated AAA brand strength rating.

2. (a) Telangana

A 900-year-old Kannada inscription from the Kalyana Chalukya dynasty was found in Jadcherla mandal of Mahabubnagar district of Telangana. Archaeologist and CEO of Plech India Foundation E. Shivanagi Reddy said that this inscription was found during the campaign 'Preserve heritage for future generations'.  

3. (b) Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad has broken the record of the biggest team total in IPL history. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 277/3 runs in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians, which is the highest team total till date. Earlier in the year 2013, RCB had scored 263/5 against Pune Warriors India.       

4. (a) Justice Mohammad Yusuf Wani

Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh administered the oath of office to Justice Mohammad Yusuf Wani as an additional judge. With this, the number of judges in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has increased to 16 including the Chief Justice.

5. (d) Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) has connected the strategic Nimmu-Padum-Darcha in Ladakh by road. This 298 km long road will connect Manali to Leh via Darcha and Nimmu on the Kargil-Leh Highway. This road is now the third route connecting Ladakh to the hinterland, apart from Manali-Leh and Srinagar-Leh. Nimmu-Padam-Darcha road or Zanskar Highway connects the Union Territory of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.

Saudi Arabia will participate in the historic Miss Universe event for the first time. Saudi Arabia's Rumy Alqahtani will officially participate in the Miss Universe competition for the first time as the first representative of the Islamic country. Alqahtani has won the titles of Miss Middle East and Miss Arab World Peace 2021.
