GATE 2025 Marking Scheme

GATE 2025 exam was conducted in 3 formats: MCQs, MSQs, and NATs. The marking scheme for the GATE 2025 Exam is given below:

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): negative marking (1/3 mark for 1-mark questions and 2/3 mark for 2-mark questions)
• Multiple Select Questions (MSQs): more than one correct answer but no negative marking
• Numerical Answer Type (NAT): enter a numerical value manually without negative marking. Each correct answer was awarded 1 or 2 marks, making the total 100.

GATE 2025 Exam Answer Key & Objection Process

The answer key will be available on February 26, 2025. Candidates can download it from the official website and compare it with their responses, which will be accessible soon. If candidates find any mistakes in the answer key, they can raise an objection between 26th and 28th of February 2025. 

Answer Key Objection Process

Step 1: Candidates need to log in to the official portal at gate2025.iitr.ac.in using their credentials

Step 2: Then, students must provide a valid reason for the objection

Step 3: Candidates now need to pay the objection fee of INR 500 per question. If the objection is found to be correct, the fee will be refunded. 

After reviewing all objections, IIT Roorkee will release the final answer key, which will be used to prepare the results.

Steps to Download GATE 2025 Answer Key Online

Step 1: Candidates need to login to the official result portal at gate2025.iitr.ac.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for ‘GATE 2025 Answer Key’

Step 3: Click on the link and select your subject paper from the list

Step 4: The answer key will open and students can check their details and download for future use
