IIT Bombay Techfest 2023: The Indian Institution of Technology, Bombay is conducting the 27th edition of their annual Science and Technology Fest - Techfest from December 27 to 29, 2023. This year, Techfest is expected to have 1,75,000 participants and 2500+ Indian and 500+ International Universities. Entry for the event begins at 8 AM on all three days of the fest. Students will be provided entry into the fest on a first come first serve basis.
Today being the first day of the three-day fest will have prominent personalities from across the world participating in the lecture series which is also the first event of the day. The first-day lecture series includes speakers like Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio. Other prominent guests speaking on the first day include G Satheesh Reddy, Former chairperson of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), B.K Das, Leland Hartwell, and Harish Mehta.
Event Details for Day 1 of Techfest
The three-day Techfest has several events lined up for each day. While the lecture series will remain common on all three days, different events will be conducted throughout the three days of the fest. The series of events planned for the first day of Techfest 2023 is as follows - Exhibitions, Ozone which will have - Paintball, All terrain vehicle, Laser Tag, Body Zorbing, VR Gaming, Playstation 5, and VR Cricket. Competitions like Rowboatics, Here Hackathon, Robosoccer, Techfest Olympiad, Hack AI, and many more.
- The list of Competitions includes Rowboatics, Here Hackathon, Hack AI, Robocap League, Mechanzo League, TiH IoT, Atomques, etc. International Robowars, International Drone Racing League, and much more.
- The exhibition will feature various national and international exhibitors showcasing innovative products and solutions in robotics, AI, biotechnology, aerospace, defense, and more.
- International Robowars is India’s premier Robot Combat competition, featuring teams from around the world battling in a metal cage for the coveted Robowars Champion Title. The weight categories of 15 kg, 30 kg, and 60 kg. Teams from around the world battling in a metal cage for the coveted Robowars Champion Title.
- International Drone Racing League goes International for the first time this year at Techfest with one of the best in the world - Rousseau Killian from France.
