JEE Main 2024: As per the official schedule, the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2024 will be conducted in two phases from January 24 to February 1 and April 1 to 15, 2024. Through this, candidates will be granted admission to the prominent National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and government-funded technology institutes (GFTIs).
There are a total of 31 NITs in India. Out of them, only 11 are offering BTech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. The admission will be done via the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Applicants for admission to NITs' BTech programs in metallurgical and materials engineering must pass 6 rounds of counseling administered by the JoSAA.
JoSAA releases separate merit lists for open, OBC, SC, ST, and other categories. Since half of the places are designated for students in the state where the NITs are situated, the JoSAA will also publish a separate list specifically for host state students. Students from other states are welcome to apply for the remaining seats (OS).
