
JNU Convocation 2021: As per the updates, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will conduct its 5th Convocation ceremony on 30th September 2021 virtually. It will begin at 2:30 pm. Students can join the event from JNU's Facebook page where it will be streamed live. All PhD students who have successfully defended their viva voce between 15th September to 16th October will be given degrees at the event. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will address the event as the Chief Guest. JNU convocation will also be addressed by Dr Viajay Kumar Saraswat, JNU Chancellor.
Jawaharlal Nehru University 5th Convocation Registration
JNU had asked students to register on the official website. They had to submit their proforma by 20th September to join the programme. Students also were asked to submit a registration fee of Rs 800 through the online mode for the same. JNU Vice-Chancellor Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar tweeted: "The 5th Convocation of JNU will be held virtually on 30th September 2021. Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan is the Chief Guest. JNU Convocation Oration
As per the official schedule shared by the authorities, JNU Convocation 2021 will start with a welcome address and presentation of the Academic report by JNU Vice-Chancellor Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar followed by the address by JNU Chancellor Dr Viajay Kumar Saraswat, followed by the convocation address by the Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. The event would end with a vote of thanks by Prof. Ravikesh who is the Registrar of the University.
Jawaharlal Nehru University Opened in Phased Manner
The university reopened in a phased manner for PhD research scholars, PhD (PWD) and 9B students who are to submit their papers by 31st December this year. The University has reopened from today for third-year PhD Scholars and for Final Year MBA, MSc students. The University had earlier said that it will open in a phased manner. Further, it stated that it will allow entry of third-year PhD scholars, both hostellers and day scholars into the campus. The students' ID cards will be issued at the School/Special Centre level.
