The NEET PG 2026 answer key and candidate response sheet are expected to be released on the official website of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), natboard.edu.in, likely today, September 22, 2026. The introduction of answer keys from 2025, following a Supreme Court order, marks a significant step towards greater transparency in the national medical postgraduate entrance examination. 

The NBEMS helpdesk has confirmed that the answer key and response sheet for the NEET PG 2026 examination will be released before the results. 

This year, the NEET PG 2026 examination was conducted on August 30, followed by a re-examination on September 5 for 2,445 candidates affected by the disruption at two examination centres. Around 2.63 lakh candidates appeared for the examination for admission to MD/MS courses.

According to the NEET PG 2026 Information Bulletin, candidates will be able to access the question ID numbers, correct answers and the responses marked by them through their candidate login on the official website. Candidates will need to log in using their user ID and password to access the answer key and response sheet, expected to be released today, September 22, 2026.

NEET PG 2026 Score: Know How To Calculate Your Marks

Candidates will be able to calculate their expected scores using the answer key and response sheet. To do this, they should first identify the number of correct and incorrect responses marked by them.

As per the official marking scheme, candidates are awarded four marks for every correct answer, while one mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

The expected score can therefore be calculated using the following formula:

Expected score = (Number of correct answers × 4) − (Number of incorrect answers × 1)

For example, if a candidate has 150 correct and 30 incorrect responses, the expected score would be (150 × 4) − (30 × 1) = 570 marks.

NEET PG Result LIVE: Merit List On September 30

The NEET PG 2026 merit list is scheduled to be released on September 30, as per the schedule announced by NBEMS. The scorecard is expected to be issued separately after the result.
