Tamil Nadu NMMS 2024 Registration: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has extended the last date to apply for the National means-cum-merit Scholarship Scheme Examination (NMMS) till December 27, 2023. Interested candidates can apply on the official website: dge.tn.gov.in. It is advisable to apply before the last date.
Tamil Nadu NMMS Scholarship 2023 is conducted for class 8 students studying in Tamil Nadu government and government-aided schools. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2024. Students who qualify for the exam will be granted a scholarship of Rs 12,000 per annum.
Students should have a household income of less than Rs 3,50,000 to be eligible. The question paper will also be based on class 7 and 8 syllabus.

The official notice reads, “The final list of students' verified at all concerned levels on National Scholarship Portal, will be considered for sanction of funds. The scholarships for those students will be discontinued if they would have not been able to renew their application on NSP within stipulated time period.”
About Tamil Nadu NMMS 2024
The Tamil Nadu NMMS 2023–24 will consist of two exams: the SAT (Scholastic Abilities Test) and the Mental Ability Test (MAT). The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on each test will total ninety. Every paper has a 90-minute duration.
In the mental ability test, the student's verbal and nonverbal metacognitive skills, like reasoning and critical thinking, will be evaluated. However, the SAT will assess a candidate's proficiency in math, science, and social studies.
