The honorarium for 24,717 part-time instructors increased from ₹9,000 to ₹17,000, while the monthly salary for 1.43 lakh Shiksha Mitras was raised from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000. According to Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, the new rates will take effect on April 1, 2026, and the first increased payments will be made in May.
