1. Haqeeqat (1964)
The movie was based on the 1962 Sino-Indian War. The movie's main plot concerns a small platoon of Indian soldiers in the hilly terrain of Ladakh who are considered dead but are rescued by Ladakhi tribesmen and by Capt. Bahadur Singh. They are asked to retreat from their post as the Chinese have surrounded them. Capt. Bahadur Singh and his girlfriend Angmo die holding the Chinese at bay so that their comrades can retreat to safety. But even the retreating soldiers are heavily outnumbered and give up their lives for the country.
2. LOC: Kargil (2003)
The movie is based on the true events that occured during the war between India and Pakistan in 1999 Kargil war. It depicts the bravery and sense of team spirit of the Indian army when they were ordered to guard the LOC and fight off the Pakistani forces who try to enter the Indian territory. The film featuring who is who in the industry – Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Sunil Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan gives you sense of belongingness with the Indian Army.
3. Lakshya (2004)
It is a fictional story based on the historical events of the 1999 Kargil Conflict. It is the story of a battalion that was assigned to secure Point 5179, a crucial vantage point dominating the National Highway 1D, which is a main supply line for the army. In the movie, the courage and tactics of Capt. Karan Shergill (Hrithik Roshan) will definitely inspire you.
4. Tango Charlie (2005)
The film follows paramilitary personnel Tarun Chauhan (Bobby Deol) journey from a young police recruit to war-hardened fighter in the Indian border security force. The movie presents the idea that real soldiers are not born, but bred.
5. The Ghazi Attack (2017)
The movie is based on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi during Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. It is inspired by true events from the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971. The film is an underwater tale of the courage and patriotism of the men aboard the Indian Submarine INS Karanj who destroyed the Pakistani PNS Ghazi. Pakistan maintains that PNS Ghazi was destroyed by her own underwater mine. The epilogue indicates that the day after the Ghazi incident, Pakistani fighters bomb Indian airfields, marking the beginning of the 1971 Indo-Pak war for liberation of Bangladesh.
