Eligibility Criteria for Posts under Indira Gandhi National Centre For The Arts 2017 :

Educational Qualification:

Professor ( Sanskrit/ Indian Art History/ Visual Arts/ Cultural Anthropology/ Contemporary Indian/ Conservation ) :

Eligibility criteria for the post of Professor:

By promotion of Associate Professor in the IGNCA having 3 (three) years’ service in the grade of relevant/related stream.  Persons holding analogous post in the PB 4 i.e. Rs.37400-67000 + Rs10000 G.P, or Having 3 (three) years’ service as Associate Professor in the Government/Universities/Academic and

Research Institutions/Autonomous Organizations and having:

(a) Essential qualifications:

An eminent scholar having doctorate degree in relevant/related discipline , 10 years’ experience of teaching and/or research and he has Published work of high quality with active engagement in research work.

(b) Desirable Qualifications:

Experience of guiding research at doctoral level.

Research Officer :

Essential :

1. Doctorate in Anthropology/Folklore/Archaeology/Arts, Humanities or Languages; Specialization in Cultural Anthropology/Folklore/Ethno-archaeology/Art History/Museology/Any other related subject. Five (5) years’ experience of research/field documentation/teaching.

Age Limit

Professor : Not exceeding than  62 years.
Research Officer : Not exceeding than 35 years.
