In this article, we have provided the previous year’s Cut-off of NIACL AO exams for different posts of Company Secretary, Legal, Finance & Accounts, and Generalists. Usually, the Cut-off of any exam depends on some factors. These factors are:

    • Number of candidates appeared in the exam
    • Number of vacancies
    • Difficulty level of the exam
    • Performance of the candidate in the exam
    • Previous year trends of the cut off

Let’s have an idea of these points:

Number of Candidates Appeared in the Exam

The cut off basically varies as per the number of the candidates appeared in the exam. Since, a large number of the candidates appear in the exams and this makes the competition very tough. The more number of the candidates is indicative of the fact that the cut off may go high so that screening can be done efficiently.

    Number of Vacancies

The second thing that affects the cut off is the number of the vacancies. If the number of the vacancies is low then it is definite that there will be a stiff competition and if the number of vacancies is more, then the cut off will be low.

    Difficulty Level of the Exam

Another factor that affects the cut off of the exam is the difficulty level of the exam. Many times, the level of the question paper is low and at times it becomes difficult. If the question paper is easy then many candidates will be able to do it well and therefore the cut off will be high. If the question paper is difficult then only few candidates will be able to do it well and therefore the cut off will be low.

Performance of the Candidate in the Exam

Whatever be the level of the question paper in the exam, it is sure that the performance of the candidates matter in the exam. If the candidate has done well in the exam then the cut off will be just a worthless number and if the candidate has not done well in the exam then the cut off becomes a difficult number.

Previous Year Trends of the Cut Off

Though the cut off changes every year yet the trends in the previous year’s exam tell a lot about it. The cut off does not vary a lot each year but the candidates can predict the cut off keeping the trends in the mind.
