Eligibility Criteria for Sikshya Sahayak Job

Educational Qualification and Age Limit:

For the post of +2 Sc, CT Sikshya Sahayak/+2Arts. CT Sikshya Sahaynk: Higher Secondary (+2 Science/+2 Arts or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Two years Diploma in Education (CT) Or

Higher Secondary (+2 Science/+2Arts or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Two years Diploma in Education (Special Education) under Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Candidate must have registered his/her name under RCI, in case passed DSE.

Pass in the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET-Category-1).
Candidates must have Odia as MIL up to Class-X or pass in Odia language test equivalent to Matriculation standards conducted or declared equivalent by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

For the post of B.A B.Ed sikshya Sahayak /B.Se, B.Ed sikshya sahayak: (a) B.A. B.Ed. teacher: He /She must have obtained Bachelor Degree in Arts/Commerce (with two school subjects) from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC candidates) along with a Degree in Bachelor Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from a Institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to recognized University.

(b) B.Sc. B.Ed. teacher He/she must have obtained Bachelor Degree in Science (CBZ/PCM) from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC candidates) along with a Degree in Bachelor Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from a Institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.

For the post of B.A. B.Ed. Sikshya Sahayak/B.Sc. B.Ed. Sikshya Sahayak: The candidates who have qualified OSSTET (ODIS1IA SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST) will be given preference during the selection process. Age Limit: He/she must be below 32 years and above 18 years of age as on 30 October 2019 provided that maximum age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years in case of candidates belongs to the ST/SC/SEBC and women candidates. Age shall be relaxed for Ex-serviceman as per Odisha Ex-servicemen rule 1989.In case of PWD candidate the upper age limit be relaxed by 10 year.
