SSC CGL 2024 Exam Starts Today: Know What are the Shift Timings and Exam Schedule

The Staff Selection Commission commenced the SSC CGL 2024 exam today, 9 September. It will be held from 9 to 26 September 2024 at various designated centres spread across the country. Prospective candidates who are in the last leg of their preparation should review the list of important topics and familiarise themselves with exam day guidelines, including the duration, shift timings, and other crucial details. SSC CGL Shift Timings 2024

SSC CGL is one of the toughest exams in India. Over 34 lakh candidates have applied for it. The SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination is a national level exam, administered by the Staff Selection Commission, to recruit eligible graduates for various Group B and Group C posts. These include Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector, Inspector, Executive Officer, Research Assistant, Divisional Accountant, Junior Intelligence Officer, Junior Statistical Officer, Auditor, Accountant, Postal Assistant, Senior Secretariat Assistant, and Tax Assistant. SSC CGL Reporting Timings

The commission will inform candidates of their shift timings through the SSC CGL admit card. Registered candidates must download their hall tickets to find out their allotted exam center and shift timings. They are advised to arrive at the exam venue at the designated reporting time; late arrivals may not be permitted to enter the examination hall.

SSC CGL 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

Here are the guidelines for the SSC CGL exam day that candidates must adhere to strictly, or else they will be debarred from appearing in the exam:

• Bring Admit Card: Candidates must present a printed copy of their admit card at the exam center.
• Two recent passport size photographs
• Candidates are not permitted to bring electronic devices (such as mobile phones, headphones, scanners, calculators, or storage devices), watches, books, pens, paper notes, or magazines into the exam centers.
• Carry Photo ID: Candidates should bring at least one of the following forms of photo identification:

1. Aadhaar Card
2. Voter ID
3. Driving License
4. Passport
5. PAN Card
6. Service ID issued by Central/State Governments or PSUs
7. ID Card issued by a University/College/School
8. Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book from the Ministry of Defense
9. Any other government-issued photo ID
