UGC NET Certificate will be available soon on the official website and on UMANG App of the candidates. The certificates will be issued by NTA to the qualified candidates only.

The result statics for June 2024 is given below:

• Number of candidates registered - 11,21,22
• Number of candidates appeared - 6,84,224
• Candidates qualified for JRF - 4970
• Candidates qualified for Assistant Professor Only - 53,694
• Candidates qualified for Ph.D. only - 1,12,070

UGC NET Cutoff Marks

Candidates can download UGC NET Result 2024 from the official website of the NTA. The direct link is provided above.

To check UGC NET Result you can follow the following steps:

Visit the official website: Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Find the result link: On the home page, you will find a link titled 'UGC NET Result 2024' or similar. Click on it.
Fill in your details: You will need to enter your application number and date of birth.
Submit: Click the Submit button.
Check Result: Your result will be displayed on the screen. You can also download it.

The candidates can download the scorecard by visiting the official website National Testing Agency. No other mode of result is available. Only official website is the source to check the marks of all the participants.

The National Testing Agency will release the results of the UGC NET Exam on 18 October. All those students who have been waiting for the result for so long can, now, download it tomorrow by visiting the official website of the NTA.

When declared, the June UGC NET result can be checked by candidates on the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. UGC NET results can also be checked at ugcnet.ntaonline.in and nta.ac.in.

The procedure to check the result through Umang App is given below:

1. Download the UMANG Mobile Application from the Android Play Store or Apple App Store. Open the Mobile Application and search for the National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. Select the examination and enter the desired details. Example: Select UGC-NET – 2023 -> Enter Application Number & Date of Birth -> Download Confirmation Page.

If a question is found wrong and deleted, two marks (+2) will be given only to those candidates who attempted the question.

There is no official announcement regarding the result date yet. The officials will inform you about the result date if it is scheduled for a particular date. The result can also be released on the official website without any prior intimation.

NTA is also facilitating the candidates to download the marksheet from the UMANG App.Candidates can simply download the app, log in and check their mark sheet.

According to the UGC policy, 6 % of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers will be declared NET qualified.

No, there will be no rank system in the UGC NET Exam 2024. Candidates will be declared qualified or nonqualified on the basis of their marks scored in the online exam.

The candidates can check the marking scheme as follows: 

• Each question will be of 2 marks.
• For each correct response, a candidate will get 2 marks.
• There is no negative marking for incorrect responses.
• No marks will be given for questions unanswered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
• To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as the correct option.

There is no provision for the re-evaluation or re-checking of the result. Candidates can not ask for a reevaluation of the result or their scores.

Candidates who have participated in the exam are getting anxious as the result is getting delayed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the result on the official website of the NTA i.e. ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The result of UGC NET will be declared in percentile along with the marks obtained by a candidate to utilize the marks for admission to Ph.D.

For admission to Ph.D., the marks obtained in the NET by the candidates in category-2 and category-3 will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result of UGC-NET.

Step 2: The number of candidates to be qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in NET (in both the papers) on the basis of their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination.

Step 2: The total slots shall be allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of Government of India.

Step 3: In order to be considered, the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General (Unreserved) / General-EWS category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories (viz., SC, ST, OBC (belonging to Non- Creamy Layer), PwD and Third gender).

Step 4: The number of candidates to be declared qualified in any subject for a particular category is derived as per the methodology illustrated below:

UGC NET Result will be announced by the National Testing Agency on its official website. No other website will display the marks of the candidates. The website is given below:

The Question Paper and attempted recorded responses by the candidates were uploaded on the NTA website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates were asked to download the response sheet for the future. It is to be to noted that no copy of the response sheet will be provided by NTA after the declaration of result under RTI Act.

The result will be compiled on the basis of final answer ke. No grievance with regard to answer key(s) after the declaration of result/NTA Score of UGC - NET June 2024 will be entertained.

The result is expected in the month of October. The exact date regarding the scorecard is not yet announced by the National Testing Agency. Students are advised to keep a track of this page for all the latest updates.
