The Government of India signed a $170 million policy-based loan with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to improve India's health system preparedness and resilience against future pandemics.

2. (a) G Kishan Reddy

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy has recently launched the 'Nirman' portal to help the candidates of National Civil Services Examination Mains. Under this initiative, assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be provided to eligible UPSC candidates. It will be provided to those candidates whose annual family income is less than Rs 8 lakh and who belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Women or Third Gender.

Former Netherlands intelligence chief Dick Schoof has recently been sworn in as the country's new PM.     67-year-old Schoof replaces Mark Rutte, who has recently been appointed as the next Secretary General of NATO. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also congratulated Dick Schoof.

4. (d) Mongolia

The 16th edition of the joint military exercise 'Nomadic Elephant' between the Indian Army and the Mongolian Army began on July 3 at Umroi, Meghalaya. The aim of this military exercise is to enhance military interoperability between the two countries. This exercise, which will last for two weeks, will conclude on July 16.

State Bank of India has recently launched “MSME Sahaj” facility for its customers. With its help, the bank's customers can avail finance up to ₹1 lakh against their GST-registered sales invoice in less than 15 minutes. SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara said that digital solutions are being introduced in SBI SME Business Loan.

6. (c) UNODC

The United Nations (UN) agency that combats crime and drug abuse (UNODC) has recently released its annual World Drug Report. The report says that the number of people using drugs is set to rise to 292 million in 2022, an increase of 20 per cent over the last ten years.
