Indian Navy has pushed forward a proposal to urgently acquire 10 ship-borne drones that will help the force keep a close eye on the activities of the adversaries.

The Ashok Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan won the vote of confidence in the state assembly on August 14, 2020 through a voice vote. The vote of confidence was brought in the assembly after the reunification of the Gehlot and Sachin Pilot factions of the Rajasthan Congress party.

A Greek and Turkish warship were engaged in a mini-collision on August 12, 2020 during a standoff in the eastern Mediterranean. Turkey recently deployed survey ship Orus Reis to undertake seismic research for energy resources in the eastern Mediterranean sea, in an area that is claimed by both Turkey and Greece.

Amazon.com Inc launched an online pharmacy in India on August 14, 2020 to serve the Karnataka’s capital city Bengaluru. The service, Amazon Pharmacy, has begun and will soon offer both over-the-counter and prescription-based drug deliveries across the city.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced recently that its planet hunter TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) has found 66 new exoplanets or worlds beyond our solar system.
