PM Narendra Modi presented certificates to more than 30,000 self-help groups under Krishi Sakhi certification in Varanasi on June 18, 2024. Realizing the important role and contribution of women in agriculture and to promote skills of rural women, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and the Ministry of Rural Development signed an MoU in August 2023. Krishi Sakhi Certification Programme is an ambitious initiative under this MoU.

The Reserve Bank of India has cancelled the licence of Ghazipur-based Purvanchal Sahakari Bank in Uttar Pradesh as it does not have adequate capital and earning prospects. RBI also said that as per the data submitted by Purvanchal Sahakari Bank, about 99.51 per cent of the depositors are entitled to receive the full amount of their deposits from DICGC.

The Indian Air Force's first multinational air exercise, Tarang Shakti 2024, will be held in August. It is likely to see the participation of ten countries, apart from some other countries included as observers. This exercise will now be conducted in two phases. The first will be held in Southern India in the first two weeks of August and the second will be held in the Western region from the end of August to mid-September.

Recently, the Ministry of External Affairs and SBI have signed an MoU to provide an additional digital payment service of the bank through its payment gateway SBIePay to the users of e-Migrate portal. The e-Migrate portal was launched in the year 2014 and is associated with overseas Indian workers.
