Kapil Sibal- Handed Ministry of IT and Communications

Kapil Sibal was given additional charge of the Ministry of IT and Communications in the wake of Raja's resignation.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal on 15 November 2010 was given the additional charge of the ministry of IT and communications in what is seen as a holding operation. Sibal will hold the post till a permanent successor is found. A. Raja, the former IT and Communications minter resigned on 14 November 2010 in the wake of the 2G scam in which he was allegedly involved. It is for the DMK party to which Raja belongs to decide the successor to the post of IT and communications minister.
