Rajkumar Ghosh took over as director-refineries of state-run Indian Oil Corp (IOC). He succeeded BN Bankapur superannuated on 31 August 2011.
A graduate in chemical engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Ghosh has over three decades of experience in hydrocarbon industry. He has worked in various positions at Barauni, Mathura, Haldia, Guwahati and Panipat refineries as well as at refineries headquarters in New Delhi.
Prior to being appointed Director, Ghosh was working as executive director-refineries at IOC headquarters.
He has also served as the executive director at Panipat refinery. He led the commissioning of Panipat refinery expansion from 12 to 15 million metric tonne per annum and India's largest naphtha cracker which ushered in a new era of industrial development in Haryana.
