Book titled Tulsi Smriti Granth on Acharya Tulsi was released on 26 October 2014. The first copy of the book was received by the President Pranab Mukhejee from Dr. Karan Singh who formally released it.
About Acharya Tulsi
Acharya Tulsi, a prominent Jain religious leader, was born in 1914 in Ladnun, Rajasthan, at a time when India was starting to transcend from a traditional to a modern nation. He was coronated as the ninth Acharya of Terapanth. He transformed into a Jain monk at a tender age of 11, when he started delving into the problems of world and seeking solutions. He was the successor of Acharya Kalughanin. He passed away in 1997.
Acharya Tulsi was the founder of the Anuvrata movement, which was based on the five Jain principles Truth, Nonviolence, Non-possession, Non-stealing and Celibacy as applied in their limited version for the lay people. He also founded the Jain Vishva Bharti Institute, Ladnun and authored over one hundred books.
Acharya Tulsi was conferred several honours as recognition of his significant endeavour in bringing individual transformation, social reformation, religious harmony and national integration. The honours and awards included

• Bharat Jyoti
• Vak Pati Samman
• Hakim Sur Khan Award
At present Acharya Mahashraman is the eleventh supreme head of the Terapanth who will undertake an Ahimsa Yatra from Delhi in November 2014.
