Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on 18 September 2013 approved a National Highway from Jhajjar in Haryana to Dwarka in Delhi via Dhansa border. On its construction, around 100 crore rupees would be spent from Central Roads Fund for Inter-State Connectivity. The Ministry has also enhanced budget allocation for maintenance of National Highways in Haryana from 44 crores to 110 crores rupees.
Union Ministry also cleared various important road projects and allocated Central funds for the construction of flyovers, bridges and maintenance of roads and National Highways in Haryana.
The Union Government allocated 100 crore rupees to build a six-lane flyover at Hero Honda chowk on NH8 (Delhi-Jaipur Road). The deadline for the project is 15 months from September 2013.
The decisions were taken in a meeting between Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Delhi.
