1.(a) Shivangi Singh 
Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh from Varanasi is all set to become a first woman fighter pilot to fly Rafale aircraft. She is currently undergoing conversion training to fly the Rafale jet and will soon be joining the Ambala based No. 17 squadron, which is also known as ‘Golden Arrows’.

2.(b) Salman Khan
Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away at 1.04 pm at a private hospital in Chennai on September 25, 2020. He was 74. The legend was identified as Salman Khan's voice in the 90s just like Kishore Kumar became Rajesh Khanna’s voice through the 70s. Some of his best songs in Hindi cinema include Sathiya ye tune kya Kiya, Yeh Raat Aur Yeh Doorie, Pehla Pehla Pyar Hai, Dil Deewana, Mere Rang Main Rangne Wali, Aaya Mausam Dosti Ka and Kabhi Tu Chalia Lagta Hai.

The counting of votes of the Bihar General Elections 2020 will take place on November 10, 2020. The Bihar Election Schedule was announced by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on September 25, 2020. 

4.(c) Succession
The family saga series Succession won the Emmy Award 2020 in the Outstanding Drama Series category. The show took home a total of five awards at the 72nd Emmy Awards. 

5.(b) Two
In a historic first, two women officers have been selected to join as “Observers” (Airborne Tacticians) in the helicopter stream of the Indian Navy. The two women officers who will create history in the Indian Naval Aviation include-Sub Lieutenant (SLt) Kumudini Tyagi and SLt Riti Singh.

6.(d) KKR
Global investment firm KKR will be investing Rs 5,550 crore into Reliance Retail ventures Limited (RRVL) for a 1.28% equity stake on a fully diluted basis. This is the second major investment in Reliance Retail in the past month. Earlier, American private equity player Silver Lake invested Rs 7,500 cr into Reliance Retail Ventures to buy a 1.75% Stake. 

7.(b) Kerala
Kerala on September 23, 2020 received an award from the United Nations for its “outstanding contribution” towards preventing and controlling the spread of non-communicable diseases. The UN Interagency Task Force award was announced by WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

8.(d) Shaping Peace Together
The International Day of Peace was observed this year on September 21st with the theme- Shaping Peace Together. The UN General Assembly declared that the day should be commemorated by observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire across the world. The day is devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace. 

9.(b) Novak Djokovic
World no. one Novak Djokovic won his record 36th Masters Title by winning the men’s singles title in the Italian Open. The Serbian player defeated Diego Schwartzman in two straight sets of 7-5, 6-3 to clinch the trophy. 

10.(b) UK
United Nations and Britain will co-host a global climate summit on December 12, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the landmark 2015 Paris Agreement. The summit will see the involvement of many governments, leaders, private sector and civil society to present more ambitious and high-quality climate plans.
