Senior BJP MLA Nimaben Acharya became the first woman Speaker of the Gujarat Assembly on September 27, 2021. The nomination of Acharya was unanimously elected on the first day of the state Assembly’s two-day monsoon session.

Fumio Kishida is set to become the new Prime Minister of Japan after he was elected as the leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party. He will succeed outgoing party leader Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, who had earlier announced his decision to step down from the position after serving for just a year.

The first Pan-India toll-free helpline number for senior citizens is 14567. The helpline number is called the ‘Elder Line’ and it can be used by senior citizens to get free information and guidance on pension and legal issues, cases of abuse and to get emotional support.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the "Nirbhaya - Ek Pahal" programme under Mission Shakti - Phase 3 in Lucknow on September 29, 2021. He said that under the programme, 75,000 women would get connected with state banks, get loans at cheaper interest rates & get benefits of state subsidies under PM Mudra Yojana for 3 months.

She has decided to retire after serving as German Chancellor for 16 years. Angela Merkel had taken office in 2005, becoming the first female chancellor of Germany. Ever since she took office, she has been described as the de facto leader of the European Union, the most powerful woman and one of the world's most successful political leaders.

Smriti Mandhana has become the first Indian woman to score a Test hundred on Australian soil. She achieved the feat while batting during India's first innings on the second day of the first pink-ball Test match against Australia at the Carrara Oval in Queensland. The cricketer scored 127 runs, which includes 22 fours and a six.
11. (b) Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton became the first Formula One (F1) driver to win 100 races on September 26, 2021 after finishing first in the 2021 Russian Grand Prix. This was the 5th win for Hamilton in the Russian Grand Prix season and the first since the British Grand Prix in July 2021.
12. (d) Virat Kohli
Indian men's cricket team skipper Virat Kohli became the first Indian batsman to cross the 10,000 runs mark in the T20 format on September 20, 2021. He achieved the landmark while batting for Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) in their match against Mumbai Indians.
