Bahrain’s Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa passed away on November 11, 2020 at the age of 84. He was the world's longest-serving Prime Minister, having held the post of Prime Minister since Bahrain’s independence in 1971.

Tejashwi Yadav-led RJD emerged as the single-largest party in Bihar polls with 75 seats, followed by the BJP with 74 seats but the NDA alliance crossed majority mark with 125 seats.

Jharkhand Assembly unanimously passed a resolution on Sarna Code during a special one-day assembly session on November 11, 2020. The resolution seeks the inclusion of Sarna as a separate religion in the 2021 Census.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) has formally launched the Food Coalition, an international coalition to address COVID-19 impact on food systems and agriculture worldwide.

The United Arab Emirates has made an amendment in its strict Islamic personal laws to allow cohabitation of unmarried couples and loosen restrictions on alcohol consumption by scrapping penalties on the consumption of alcohol and its possession for those aged 21 and above.

Serbian Tennis star Novak Djokovic clinched year-end world number one ranking for a record sixth time on November 6, 2020. He has now equaled the record of American Tennis great Pete Sampras, who ended with world number one ranking for six straight years between 1993 and 1998.

Sudan's transitional government signed a peace deal called the 'Juba Peace Agreement' with several rebel groups in Juba on October 3, 2020, almost a year after the peace talks began.

China successfully launched the world's first 6G experimental satellite on November 6, 2020. The satellite was launched into the orbit aboard a single rocket along with 12 other satellites.
