CBSE Warns Schools Over Data Errors, Demands Verified Details for 2027 Board Exams
CBSE Board Exams 2027: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an advisory to affiliated schools warning against repeated data errors and submission delays ahead of the 2027 Board Exams. Ahead of Class 9/11 registration and Class 10/12 List of Candidates (LOC) submission, schools must verify student details, subjects, photos, and signatures against official registers to prevent admit card delays and operational issues.
CBSE Board Exams 2027: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strict instruction to all affiliated schools regarding repetitive data mistakes and procedural delays in preparation of the 2027 Board Examinations. This is being done in light of the fact that the board will soon begin the online registration process for Classes 9 and 11 and the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes 10 and 12. As per an official circular published by Controller of Examinations Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, the CBSE stated that due to some data irregularities in the previous examination sessions, many problems were faced by the board, including delay in generation of admit cards for the candidates.
It was said that even after issuing multiple warnings to the schools, they used to submit the wrong names of students and parents, wrong date of birth, wrong subject code, wrong photograph/signature format, and made late requests for corrections in these details. In order to avoid any problem in the future, the CBSE has directed the school authorities to verify all the candidate information strictly in accordance with their school admission register and Scheme of Studies.
CBSE: Key Highlights of the Advisory
Verification Required: All the details of the candidate have to be matched with the admission registers of the respective schools before submission of the data to the board portal.
Key Points to be Checked:
-
Full Name of the Candidate (spelling-wise match)
-
Date of Birth (DOB) and Gender Category and Full Names of Parents/Guardians
-
Correct Subject Codes as per the Scheme of Studies
-
Proper photographs and digital signatures
Effect of Previous Mistakes: CBSE mentioned that previous mistakes while submitting the data during exams resulted in significant operational delays and unnecessary pressure on students.
No Space for Corrections Later: It is to be kept in mind that data once submitted will go straight to the admit card and mark sheets of the candidates.
What Parents and Students Should Do
-
Verify School Record: Make sure that the personal details present in the internal record of the school match your official identification documents (Birth Certificate/Passport etc.).
-
Verify Subject Combination: Verify that the subjects selected by you are correct and fit for the stream you have chosen along with the corresponding CBSE codes.
-
Draft Copy of LOC: Take the draft copy of the LOC from the school authority to verify the spellings.
