Gujarat UG PG Admissions 2026: Colleges and universities across Gujarat will conduct a final mop-up round for vacant undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) seats. The Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal is open for the mop-up round from today, September 7, giving students another opportunity to secure admission to available seats.
The decision to conduct the mop-up round comes after requests from universities, colleges, students, parents and student organisations for another opportunity to fill seats left vacant after the regular admission process. Nearly 1 lakh UG seats remain vacant across Gujarat after the final round of the GCAS admission process. The Mop-Up Round will continue till September 11, 2026 till 5 PM.
Gujarat UG PG Mop-Up Round 2026: Who Can Apply?
Students who have not yet secured admission and meet the eligibility requirements can participate in the mop-up admission process. Candidates who have not previously registered on the GCAS portal can register and submit their applications online.
Students who have already registered can log in to their GCAS accounts and edit their applications. They can update their preferred college, university, programme and major-subject choices after consulting the institution where they wish to take admission.

How Will Gujarat Mop-Up Admissions 2026 Be Conducted?
Colleges and universities will verify the eligibility of applicants before offering admission. The institutions will follow their existing rules regarding eligibility, merit calculation, tie-breakers and reservation while processing applications.
Candidates will also have to present their original documents for verification before the institution accepts the admission fee. Once the admission is approved, the concerned college or university will generate the admission offer through the GCAS portal and confirm the admission.
