IIT JAM 2020 Online Registrations have been reopened for aspirants from Jammu & Kashmir by IIT Kanpur. MSc Aspirants from IIT Kanpur can apply for JAM 2020 Exam by logging onto jam.iitk.ac.in.
JAM 2020 Application Process Reopened: As per the latest update, IIT Kanpur has reopened the application process for IIT JAM 2020 Exam for aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir Region. The news about reopening of application window for IIT JAM 2020 exam was confirmed by the exam conducting authority i.e. IIT Kanpur through an official press release on 21st November 2019. In the press release, IIT Kanpur has confirmed that online registrations for the Joint Admission Test 2020 for MSc programme will be reopened for aspirants form Jammu & Kashmir.
IIT JAM 2020 – Application Window Dates
As per the official press release, IIT Kanpur will restart the application process for IIT JAM 2020 MSc Entrance Exam from 22nd November 2019 to 28th November 2019. The application process is being restarted by the exam authority following the request of MHRD about it. MHRD in a letter the institute stated that following the abrogation of Article 370 and subsequent shutdown of internet services in Jammu & Kashmir, aspirants might not have been able to complete the application process for Joint Admission Test 2020. In light of this, the ministry has urgent the institute to reopen the exam application window for J&K students in November 2019.
Only 346 Applications from J&K During First Application Window
According to the details provided in the press release, during the first application window which began on 5th September 2019 and concluded 9th October 2019, only 346 candidates from Jammu & Kashmir were able to register and apply for JAM 2020 Exam. JAM 2020 examination will be held on February 9, 2020.
