Karnataka UGNEET Round 3 Option Entry Begins Today, Enter Choices for Counselling at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in

Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2026: The Karnataka Examinations Authority will begin the option entry process for NEET UG Round 3 counselling today, September 25, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit the caution deposit and enter their choices for the third round of counselling through the official website link.

KEA had earlier released the list of vacant seats for Medical and Dental after the second round. Candidates applying in the third round of counselling must check the eligibility criteria carefully before submitting their options. 

As per the details provided, the option entry link will be activated at 11 AM today. Candidates must submit the caution deposit and enter the options for the third round of counselling by September 29, 2026.

Karnataka NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2026: Eligibility to Participate

The following are the eligibility criteria prescribed for participating in the NEET UG Round 3 counselling

• Candidates who are not allotted any medical seat in the first and second round.

• Candidates who have cancelled a medical/dental seat by paying a penalty.

• Candidates who have reported to medical/dental colleges can participate in upgradation (as per recent Hon'ble High Court orders).

• Candidates allotted a Medical / Dental Seat in the first or second round, but failed to exercise choice, are not eligible to apply

• Candidates allotted a Medical / Dental Seat in the first or second round who selected Choice-4 are not eligible to apply

Karnataka NEET UG Round 3 Counselling Caution Deposit Details

Karnataka NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2026: Points to Remember

Students participating in the third round of counselling need to make sure they follow the instructions provided.

• Candidates who have reported to Medical / Dental College need not pay the CAUTION DEPOSIT 

• Fee amount paid for other courses will not be considered as CAUTION DEPOSIT for 3rd round seat allotment; such candidates must pay CAUTION DEPOSIT separately 

• If a seat is allotted in the 3rd round, the CAUTION DEPOSIT will be adjusted 

• If a candidate is allotted a seat in the 3rd round and fails to get admission, wishes to cancel it, or does not report to the college, the CAUTION DEPOSIT will be forfeited. (Must also pay penalty as per rules and will not be eligible to participate in future years of medical counselling, including All India Counselling). 

Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3 Option Entry 

• The window for students to enter the options for the third round of Karnataka NEET UG counselling will open at 11 AM today. Candidates can enter the options until September 29, 2026, at 11 AM. 

• Candidates need to enter new options, as the previously entered options will not be considered

• The consequential/added/cancelled seats will be considered for allotment; candidates are advised to enter options in order of priority for all courses of interest, regardless of whether seats are currently shown in the seat matrix.

• Seat vacancies may come up during the allotment, giving candidates a chance for a better seat if options are already included

• Allotment will be on merit

• Seat cancellation requests due to ignorance of the fee structure will not be entertained. Candidates must check the fee structure before entering the options.

• Candidates cannot reject or leave an allotted seat/ college after joining

• Students are advised to check the seat availability/ seat matrix and verify the fee structure prior to participating in the counselling round.
